| Murder case of NC leader | | HC issues notice to IG Crime for securing his presence in Court | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Aug 10- Justice JP Singh of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Jammu Wing today issued notice to Inspector General of Police Crime to ensure his presence in the Court on next date of hearing in a much publicized murder case of childhood friend of Ghulam Nabi Azad presently Union Health Minister.
Earlier, on the direction of the High Court, SM Sahai IGP Crime had appeared in person in Court seeking some more time to produce the record which was granted by the Court. However, he did not present himself in the Court today upon which the Court issued notice directing his presence on next date of hearing. Hira Lal Pandita Dy SP Crime was present in person today.
In the petition it was alleged that the deceased having political affiliation with the National Conference party had not died due to the collapse of a pedestrian bridge bit was mysteriously murdered under a well knit conspiracy. The petitioners are seeking sought investigation in the case through CBI or a team of Crime Branch headed by an officer not below the rank of DIG.JNF.
