| Army jawan injured in militant attack in J&K | | | Early Times Report Jammu Aug 10 : An army jawan was injured when two Hizbul Mujahideen militants fired on him after storming into his house in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Monday. Sources said the militants identified as Rizwan and Hafeez barged into the house of Sepoy Ishtiyaq Ahmed Bhat of 159, Territorial Army battalion in Paith village in Madwa belt of Kishtwar on Sunday night. The intruders opened fire on the jawan, injuring him, police said adding that the duo later escaped from the spot. Armymen and police rushed to the scene after getting information from the family and shifted the injured jawan to a nearby medical centre. Bhat, who had come on leave from Assam three days ago, was airlifted to the Command Hospital in Udhampur on Monday. Meanwhile the Police added that it has arrested one Hizbul Over Ground Worker (OGW) Ashaq and has launched a hunt for another person named Gulam Mohdmmad, who allegedly hatched a conspiracy with militants to eliminate the jawan.
