| Four ultras killed in Reasi encounter | | | Early Times Report
Reasi, Aug 10: Four militants were reportedly killed in a gun battle with security forces in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.
Sources said in a successful operation a joint team of security forces on Monday morning killed four heavily armed militants believed to be the cadre of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) in fierce gunfight in Mahore tehsil in Reasi district.
According to army spokesman, “four heavily armed militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba were killed by security forces in fierce gunfight in Mahore tehsil in Reasi district Monday morning after fierce gunfight erupted between the militants and the security forces".
Security forces had launched a special operation on the basis of intelligence input about the movement of militants in the dense forest area.
Defence Spokesperson Jammu briefing about the encounter said that four ultras have been killed in Reasi district here today morning and the security forces have recovered two AK 47, one Chinese pistol, 150 AK rounds and one AK 56 rifle from the slain militants.
He however said that the affiliation of the slain militants yet have not ascertained and added that the search cum combing operation is on in the target area.
