| Ch. Lal Singh sanctions Rs.10 lakh for Community Hall at Sangaldan | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SANGALDAN, RAMBAN, AUG 10: Reacting to the demands of the people of Sangaldan and it adjoining areas to restart the work on the Railway project, Member Parliament, Ch. Lal Singh has said that he has already raised this matter in the Parliament and have personally talked to the Central Railway Minister, who assured him that the matter is already under consideration.
Speaking at a public meeting, here today, the MP assured the gathering that under the dynamic leadership of UPA Chairperson Madam Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, central government is committed to fulfill the promises made with the people of the state. The MP also informed the people that he has also taken the matter of shortage of ration in these far flung areas with the state and central authorities.
Ch. Lal Singh said that there is vast potential of gypsum mineral in this area and the need of the hour is to explore it on a large scale so that thousands of un-employed youths and other un-skilled men can get employment. He further said that the Geology and Mining Officers accompanying him have been asked to examine the possibility to install a gypsum factory as the area has abundant gypsum deposits.
On this occasion, the MP also sanctioned Rs.10 lakh for the construction of a Community Hall in Sangaldan.
