| Sanjeev Verma convenes introductory meeting of revenue deptt | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, AUG 10 : Sanjeev Verma who on yesterday took over as District Development Commissioner, Kathua convened an introductory meeting of Revenue and Planning officers/officials, here today.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Mr. D. R. Sharma, Additional District Development Commissioner, Kathua, Assistant Commissioner (Revenue), Chief Planning Officer and revenue officials attended the meeting.
Mr. Verma discussed in detail the functioning of Revenue department at Kathua and enquired from the revenue officers about the status of various revenue related matter particularly land acquisition cases.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Verma exhorted upon the revenue officials to work with dedication and honesty and come up to the expectations of common masses and try to mitigate their sufferings.
He issued directions for preparing an inventory of existing ponds for preservation of water in kandi areas.
He directed the Revenue officers to maintain close coordination in execution of various revenue related cases.
Later, the DDC accompanied by ADC, CPO and other officers inspected all the officers which include Deputy Registrar Cooperative, Executive Engineer, REW, District Social Welfare Office, District Information Office, Chief Education Office, AC (Dev), Youth Services and Sports, handicrafts and tehsil offices located in the complex and interacted with the concerned officers.
