| IT awareness camp organized at Surankote | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
POONCH, AUG 10 : An awareness camp was organized to educate the youth of Poonch district regarding need and prospects of learning computer science and other courses of Information Technology at Surankote today.
The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Poonch, Mr. Anwar Hussain Shah inaugurated the function.
Officers of district and tehsil administration, intellectuals, scholars and prominent citizens and students of Surankote participated in the function.
At the camp, the ADDC highlighted the importance of adopting IT courses, terming this stream of education as relevant and necessary for current and future competition. He suggested the organizers of the awareness camp to set up an exclusive counter for counseling of candidates and offer help in selection of prospective IT courses.
Earlier, the ADDC inaugurated Azad Institute of Information Technology at Surankote which is a branch of KAWA institute of profession and technical education. This is first recognized technical institute set up in district. A candidate having minimum 6th class pass can get admission in the institute and take advantage of IT learning at his doorsteps. |
