| 2 Jail ASPs promoted as Dy. SPs, | | 8 Head Wardens as ASPs of Jail | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Aug 10: Director General of Police, Prisons, Dr. Ashok Bhan has ordered promotion of two Assistant Superintendents Jail as Deputy Superintendents Jail.
On the recommendation of Departmental Promotion Committee, Mr. Bhan promoted Mr. Raghbir Singh, ASP Jail Jammu and Mr. Pritam Singh ASP Central Jail KB Jammu to the rank of DSP Jails.
In a separate order 8 Head Wardens have been promoted as ASP Jails. These include Mr. Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, Smt. Shiv Devi, Mr. Surinder Kumar, Mr. Ghulam Nabi Malik, Mr. Abdul Gaffar Dar, Mr. Abdul Gani Ganai, Mr. Abdul Khaliq Mir and Mr. Ghulam Mohammad Bhat.
` Howerver, promotions of Smt. Shiv Devi and Mr. Ghulam Mohammad Bhat is subject to passing of their basic training course.
Meanwhile, retired Head Warden Mr. Mohinder Singh has been promoted to the rank of ASP Jails retrospectively from April 24, 2006 till the date of his superannuation on February 28, 2009.
