| Surya’s 96 guides MCC-B to 61 runs win | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 10: Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCC) B defeated KC Public School by 61 runs to consolidate their position in the inter-school (league) cricket tournament organised by Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy, here today.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, MCC-B set a target of 182 runs for the loss of two wickets in the allotted 25 overs game, which, in reply, KC Public could not chase and the whole side bowled out for 120 runs in 19 overs.
Surya Malhotra played superb innings of unbeaten 96 while Tushar, who was retired hurt, contributed 35. Lakshya bagged one wicket from K C Public.
Batting second, KC Public could not chase the total and lost all their wickets for 120 runs in 19 overs. Mohit was main scorer with 40 runs. From MCC-B, Pratap, Akash Deep and Sampark shared two wickets each.
