Agitation to continue: CUAS

Jammu, Aug 10 -Central University Andolan Samiti has thanked the people of Jammu, all the organizations, traders and business community in making the Jammu bandh successful.
Addressing media persons here today Convenor CUAS Paviter Singh stated that the CUAS will continue with agitation until a final decision is taken on the issue.
“The bandh has been complete and peaceful as people of different walks of life gave remarkable response to our bandh call”, he said and adding, this Jammu Bandh gave boost to CUAS to go further for establishing Central University in Jammu which it had earlier.
“We want written assurance from the State Government not verbal over Central University Issue”, he added. Commenting on Government strictness during the Jammu Bandh, Singh ‘they are doing there job we are doing our job’.

Meanwhile he also condemned the attitude of some officials namely Ashok Singh, Diwakar Singh and Gian Chand for harassing some of the student’s leaders. They are trying to keep these students away them from movement. He further added that as the students are fighting the agitation peacefully so there is no question of using force against them. He warned that in case police officials did not restrict using unlawful force against these innocent students , students in turn will be forced to take on these officials.
