Jammu, Aug 10: A Pakistani national escaped from Khour police station late sunday night sources said.
According to police spokesman, "a Pakistni national identified as Mohd Zahid son of Mohd Akbar resident of Dahibal in Pakistan, lodged in Khour police station managed to escape from the Khour police station late sunday night.’
‘Zahid had inadvertently crossed in to the Indian side in 2006 and after completing his sentence in 2008 Zahid was waiting for his expatriation to his country. His documents were being readied to ensure his early return but before that he ran away, police spokesman said adding several nakas have been alerted to track down the Pakistani national.
A manhunt has been launched to re-arrest him, sources said and added that action would be initiated against the erring personnel for dereliction of duty.
