| ‘An Actor Prepares’- Workshop begins at Natrang | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 11- The weeklong Acting workshop ‘An Actor Prepares’ was inaugurated here today by the Natrang Director, Balwant Thakur. This exclusive workshop is being conducted by Ashish Nijhawan -a post graduate in Dramatics with specialization in acting from National School of Drama, New Delhi. Currently working in the National School Of Drama Repertory Company, Ashish has performed and attended workshops in Japan and China The workshop will focus only on the elementary aspects of an actors’ preparation for the profession of acting. Speaking on the occasion, Natrang Director Balwant Thakur informed that over the years there has been growing demand of actors in the field of theatre, television and films and now people have started realizing that without proper training in the field, there is no use of aspiring for it. Acting is one of the most lucrative professions and the demand for new actors in the media is growing day by day. But only trained and accomplished actors are being given the opportunities. In Jammu we hardly have the occasion to work under professional trainers. Natrang through its limited resources has been trying to invite experts only with the motive that young aspirants of Acting get some exposure in the field. He further unformed that today is an era of perfection and if someone has the talent and the ability to shape it up in a proper manner, then no one can stop that person to excel in life. Ashish Nijhawan laid stress on the change in the attitude towards arts and theatre. This is the field which explores the finest qualities of a human being and in life one must try to explore the immense inner abilities of one’s own self. During the work on ‘An Actor Prepares’ the participants will be introduced to the professional attitude of learning in Acting. Twenty Natrang Actors will undergo training in this program. They include Mohit Sharma, Rohit Verma, Rahul Singh, Hemant Bholla. Vijay Kaul, Tajasvi Sharma, Pratibha Heer, Sona Mehar, Anita Dhar, Aman Thappa, Besnet Romilla, Vikram Sharma, Balwinder Singh, Charanjeet Bhardwaj, Vivek Kumar Salgotra, Suraj Prakash, Vikas Verma, Rajani Bhatti, Reema Singh Besnet and Mohammed Yaseen.
