| Lawyer beats cop in court premises | | | Early Times Report

A cop was beaten by a lawyer in the court premises when the former went with the SHO Janipur to produce challan of accused. The reason behind the incident is stated to be old enmity erupted between them during two months long agitation. Police have registered a case under section 341,323 and 353 RPC against the lawyer.
During two months long agitation advocate JP Nanda was beaten by constable Rishi Kumar.The cop is deputed in the Janipur police station and today when he took the accused to court for challan was beaten by the lawyer.He was rushed to GMC hospital for treatment.The lawyer was arrested on spot.Police spokesman informed that the lawyer was overpowered by his colleagues but till then he beat the cop.
