| BJYM and locals stage protest against power curtailments | | | Early Times Report

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) State General Secretary Sanjay Baru led a protest at Main Talab Tillo Road, Poonch House against the unscheduled power cuts enforced by the Power Department.
Addressing the protestors, Sanjay Baru said that about a month back a delegation of BJP led by the local MLA Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta had met concerned Chief Engineer who had assured that the old and worn out cables would be replaced and feeders would be changed within two weeks to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the area. The PDD authority has also assured to reduce the excessive load on this transformer.
He mentioned that a transformer at Bharat Nagar (Ext.) got burnt due to overloading leaving residents in the darkness on the other day. BJYM leader Baru said that being social conscious and responsible the residents of this ward do not wish to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere in the light of forthcoming festival of Janamasthmi and Independence Day. He warned the authorities to ensure uninterrupted power supply to them otherwise they would resort to all means and methods after 15th of August.
