| NSUI opens Information Bureau at JU | | | Early Times Reprot
Jammu, Aug 12- For the guidance of admission seekers, the National Student’s Union of India (NSUI) J&K, opened Guidance Bureau at Jammu University here today. The Guidance Bureau which was inaugurated by P S Pathania Registrar Jammu University, who was also the chief guest at the function, will remain functional till admission process is over.
G. S. Tara Dean Student’s Welfare Jammu University was the guest of honour.
Appreciating the step taken by NSUI for providing information and necessary guidance to admission seekers coming to the University, Pathania exhorted upon all the students organizations to work for the betterment of student community in cooperation with the University authorities. He assured full co-operation and support to NSUI for every step taken for the welfare of student’s community.
G. S. Tara asked the students to avail the benefit of the facilities meant for the students. He said that the role of students in constructive way is of the highest importance in the process of nation building. Speaking on this occasion, Rashid Choudhary State President NSUI J&K said that the main aim of establishing this counter is to guide the fresher who come from far flung areas like Doda, Rajouri, Poonch, Kathua, Udhampur, Reasi etc. for seeking admission in Jammu University He revealed that the Guidance counter shall remain functional for all working days up to the last date of submission of application forms. On this occasion, Information Pamphlets bearing information related to admissions, which included last cut off merit in various departments, total number of seats in each department, reservation, important contact and other relevant details were distributed to the admission seekers. NSUI activists welcomed the freshers by offering sweets and necessary guidance for admission.
