| Awareness camp for women, adolescents in RS Pura | | | Early Times Report
R.S. Pura, Aug 12: To educate and aware the community in general and women, children and adolescent girls in particular a mega camp organized by child development project office, J-Zone, R.S. Pura in collaboration with Sahyog India-prerna institute of rehabilitation and research at Prerna ICDS centre, Sahyog India complex, at R.S. Pura in which about 400 beneficiaries & community members participated.
The major focus of the camp, is to familiarize the masses with the welfare programmes and services of social welfare deptt. under integrated child development services schemes as Six Services- Supplementary Nutrition, Immunization, Health Check-up, Referral Services, Nutritution & Health Education, Non-Formal, Pre-School Education- Physical, Cognitive/ Mental, Languages, Emotional & Social Development, Vocational Training, Rights for Rehabilitation & Personal Hygiene Trainings for school dropouts adolescent girls of 11 to 18 age group including other allied schemes – 62 other services for the over all development of the community in general and women & child in particular.
SDM R.S Pura Sheetal Nanda, in her inaugural address, Nanda felt it the need of hours as Govt. has plenty of welfare schemes but strong and sincere efforts of implementing agencies are required to talk these schemes to the common masses for whom these are formulated and none can deny this fact that NGOs like Sahyog India can play a vital role in bridging the gap between Govt. and masses.
In his welcome address Dr. Asvini Jojra Founder president of Sahyog India declared that Sahyog India is always on the fore front to support any genuine agency for any noble cause to strengthen the society and when there are women & child related issues, Sahyog India is committed to serve them because women & child are the founder of the healthy nation & deserve due attention and proper care.
