| Full dress rehearsal performed at Jammu | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, AUG 13 : Full dress rehearsals for the celebration of Independence Day-2009 were held at Mini-Stadium Parade Ground, Jammu where in nearly 42 contingents from Police, CRPF, Armed Police, Auxiliary Police, Forest Protection Force and tiny platoons of school children from government and private institutions held a march-past. The students also presented a colourful programme on the occasion.
District Development Commissioner, Jammu, Mr. Manoj Dwivedi took salute at the parade and hoisted tri-color as a part of rehearsals.
The DDC also appreciated the efforts putforth by all the departments in making the elaborate arrangements for the celebration of the national occasion.
ADC Jammu, AC (R) Jammu, CEO, other civil and police officers were present on the occasion.
The DDC also enjoined upon the officers to work out the discrepancies if any, in the arrangements and set them right so that celebrations of Independence Day-2009 can be made successful.
