| BSP, NDS organizes musical concert in Jammu jail | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, AUG 13: A musical concert was organized at District Jail Ambphalla, Jammu where students of Bhartiya Sangeet Peeth (BSP), Jammu in collaboration with Naami Dogri Sanstha (NDS) Jammu presented a colourful musical programme for the jail inmates to commemorate Independence Day, 2009.
DGP, Prisons, Dr. Ashok Bhan was the chief guest while Superintendent, District Jail, Jammu, Mrs. Rajni Sehgal presided over the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajni Sehgal gave a message to the society to kindly accept the inmates once they are reformed with open arms to rehabilitate them back to a place to which they belong. She emphasized that isolation from the society does not mean depriving the inmates of their basic human needs and values, adding that music being the wonderful blessing of God, can wonders on plants and animals, not to talk of human beings.
Those who presented the programme included Mr. Sham Sajan, Director, Bhartiya Sangeet Peeth, Jammu, Mr. Suraj Singh, Mr. Sham Manihal, Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Mr. Jaideep Rattan, Mr. Chanchal Sharma, Mr. Rabjot Singh, Nidhi Kaila, Apoorva Jamwal, Priyanka Langeh, Manju Bala, Mukti Talwar and Col. S. C. Gupta besides Mr. Vijay Anand, Sunil Sharma and Karan Malhotra.
Dogra Harish Kaila, President Naami Dogri Sanstha and Yashpal Yash, General Secretary Naami Dogri Sanstha were also present on the occasion and Mr. Randhir Singh Raipuria compared the programme in a befitting manner.
Inmates enjoyed the programme and thanked Director General of Police (Prisons) and Superintendent Jail for organizing such activities in the Jail which helps to transform them into good human beings.
