| BB Institute of Journalism organizes awareness program on "Swine Flu" | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 13- To create awareness about the preventive measures to combat the deadly "Swine-Flu" B B Institute of Mass Communication, Gandhi Nagar organized an awareness program for its students here today. The program was hosted by PTU Maya Institute. Renowned Child Specialist and subject matter specialist, Dr Sanjeev Digra was the invited speaker, who detailed the students about different aspects of this communicable disease. He told that Swine Flu or Influenza A or H1N1 Virus is a pandemic and have already been to 168 countries across the globe. In India over 1100 people have been tested positive so far and 17 have lost their lives. Dr Digra emphasized that proper awareness is must to keep this virus under check. Some of the precautionary measures, he mentioned, included frequent hand wash, cough etiquettes, avoiding unnecessary travel and overcrowded areas, strengthening immunity and intake of timely nutritious diet along with lot of water. He further said that if any person develops flu-like symptoms he should better stay at home and need not to be panic, as every case is not of Swine-Flu.
