| Stock position of essentials in Kargil reviewed | | |
Kargil, September 28 – a meeting to review the stock and supply position of essential commodities, water and power supply scenario in Kargil district was held under the Chairmanship of Chief executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil Haji Asgar Ali Karbalaie here today.
It was informed in the meeting that 35308 quintals of rice, 37400 quintals of atta, 4068 quintals sugar and 1040000 litres kerosene oil have been stocked at various godowns of the districts by September 21, 2006. the meeting also also apprised that additional demand of 20000 quintals atta has already been taken up with the government and the same is yet to be received.
While reviewing the water and power supply position during the holy month of Ramdan, Haji Karbalaie stressed upon the concerned officers to streamline the water and power supply position to ensure that people during the time of Sheri and Iftar get uninterrupted supply of electricity and water. He asked the concerned officers to provide all facilities during the holy month of Ramdan and keep an eye on the rate structure of essential commodities.
Haji Karbalaie directed the functionaries of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department, Kargil to ensure entire stocking of essential commodities as early as possible. |
