Jammu, Aug 14: Felicitating the nation on 62nd Independence Day, Sadguru Madhu Paramhans Ji Maharaj of “Sahib Bandgi” said that spiritual independence is quintessential after the political and economical independence of the country. He said our history bears a testimony to the face that we have made rapid strides in spiritual advancement despite various phases of commontion and strife faced by us. He said whereas great scientists and thinkers like Aryabhatt, Charadc and Dhanvantri contributed immensely towards materialistic progress, great Rishi-Munis and sants simultaneously made similar achievements in spiritualism through their sheer self-realisation, our culture is so inquisitive, Nither does it shy away from a sojourn of universe, nor does it flinch away from unraveling the secrets of atoms and sub-atoms.
Paramhans said that the nation had been able to achieve external independence only so far. It has to be augmented by our internal independence to make it a complete independence. He who sees outside dreams but he who sees inside awakens. He said mind cannot be seen but is all-prevalent in this universe. Jeevatma is captive of mind. This mind power is making the Jeevatma to dance to its tunes by spreading a vast web of ignorance around it. People ignorant of designs of mind and have fallen its willing and easy prey. Even great scholars, tapasvees and yogis could not escape this deceit of mind. The entire humanity, he said is ridden with ignorance. Religious texts are unable to completely describe these intricacies.
He emphasized that the entire teachings of santmatt revolve around freeing the jeev from the clutches of mind and leading it back to its original abode.
