| YHAI organizes 2-days awareness camp | | Saroori gives away certificates among students | | Early Times Report Srinagar Aug 14: With the Global Warming the responsibilities of Youth Hostel Association of India (YHAI) has increased, as the mission they have launched to minimize and control environmental pollution, needs to be expanded. This was stated by Minister for R&B, Mr. G.M.Saroori while speaking on concluding function of 2-days camp, organized by YHAI in collaboration with Tourism and Wild Life departments at Dachigam. He said YHAI was running its activities in 80 countries, adding that great politicians, intellectuals as well as national and international famous actors have joined in the mission. Mr. Saroori appealed youth particularly students to join in this mission as a national duty. Appreciating the role of Association, the Minister said that need of the hour is to organize such camps in other parts of the State particularly in hilly areas of Doda and Kishtwar so that youth from these areas could also join in this noble mission. He suggested to arrange a trip of the students to outside state during winter months. The aim of the camp was to give awareness among the students how to save the environment and protect our flora and fauna, besides pursuing them to attract other people towards this mission. On the occasion, State President, YHAI, Sh. S.P.Verma, District Chairman, Showkat Ashai, besides officers of Wild Life and Tourism Departments and member of the Association were present.
