| FM appeals doctors to call off stir | | | Early Times Report
SRIANGAR, AUG 14- Today a high level meeting was convened under the Chairmanship of Finance Minister, Mr. Abdul Rahim Rather attended by the Minister for Medical Education, Mr. R. S. Chib, Minister of State for Health, Mr. Javaid Ahmad Dar, Principal Medical College, Jammu and other senior level officers.
The meeting discussed threadbare the doctors demand and considered all the aspects. It was decided in the meeting that immediately after current Assembly session is over pay anomaly committee will meet and shall consider all the genuine demands of the doctors besides, will take appropriate action to mitigate their genuine grievances.
In the meantime doors are also open for any discussion which any doctor group would like to make before any competent authority however, the appropriate direction will be taken by the pay anomaly committee after present Assembly Session is over. The government appealed all the striking doctors not to create any inconvenience to general public and to patients in particular.
Further the government made it clear that it will not allow to cause any problem to any patient. It was hoped that the group of doctors which have resorted to strike will realize the responsibility which they have been all along discharging with full acclaim and appreciation as they are the cream of the society and expectation of patients are attached with them.
