Srinagar Aug 14: On the behest of Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah, the Advisor to Chief Minister Mr. Mubarak Gul today convened a meeting with Resident Doctors and other faculty members of SKIMS and discussed threadbare the grievances of the resident doctors.
It was decided that the 6th pay commission recommendations would be implemented for the Resident doctors of SKIMS as per their genuine demands.
On the assurance of the Advisor, the President, Resident Doctors Association, Dr. Aijaz Arshid suspended the strike from 6 P.M today.
Addressing the meeting, the Advisor called upon the doctors to work with zeal and dedication as the sanctity of the profession demands selfless and philanthropic attitude.
The meeting was attended by Director, SKIMS, Prof. Abdul Hamid Zargar, Dean, SKIMS Prof. Imtiaz Ali, Principal SKIMS, Medical College Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad, HoD, Medicine Prof. Showket Ahmad Zargar, HoD CVT, Prof. A. G. Ahanger, Dr. Munir Ahmad Wani and Dr. Malik Murfat.
