| YAIKS hails govt. decision to provide jobs to 15000 migrant youth | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 16- Welcoming the state government’s announcement of providing 15000 jobs to the unemployed youth of Kashmiri migrants, President Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) R K Bhat has urged the government to speed up the work for making appointments for which the spade work has already been completed.
Addressing media persons here today the YAIKS President said that the organization whole heartedly welcomes the announcement of 15000 jobs for unemployed youth and earmarking the budgetary provisions for the purpose. He said the long drawn struggle of YAIKS has yielded fruits. Chief Minister and the Finance Minister had assured the YAIKS delegation in Srinagar last month that the Package will be implemented after the budget is passed, he added.
‘We want to make it crystal clear that we are eager to join anywhere in the State’, he said and regretted that some vested interests are misleading people by stressing the adjustments of the newly incumbents in Jammu only. The fact remains that around 14,000 unemployed youth have already deposited their consent letters with the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner to serve at the District headquarters in the Valley.
He urged the government to make appointments as per academic and professional qualifications in all the departments and give due representation to Kashmiri Pandit unemployed youth in Secretarial jobs as well. The age relaxation by at least seven years merits special consideration for the community youth as no appointment was made for last two decades.
Senior Vice President Bal Krishan Bhat, Secretary Manoj Handoo and other executive members were also present at the present conference.
