Jammu, Aug 16- Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Fighter Association today remembered martyrs of 1857 by organizing a function at Bal Niketan Ved Mandir, Amphalla.
The function was presided over by Ved Gandotra, president, Freedom Fighters Association while Rakesh Wazir, president Hotel Association Katra was the chief guest on the occasion.
While paying tributes to martyrs, Wazir said due to hard struggle and sacrifices of 1957 martyrs, we live in a healthy atmosphere in free India. He further said that people should work to end corruption, poverty and red-tapism in the government offices and always stand to help the needy.
Among others present on the occasion were M R Bangotra, Ajaib Singh Mottan, Ch Hussain Ali Wafa, Badrinath, Amrit Sagar, Akbar Ali, Krishan Singh, Tulsi Langeh, and Krishan Lal Langey.
