| Naib Tehsildar permitted to appear in interview on his own risk, responsibility | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug16- Justice Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain of Jammu and Kashmir High Court has permitted petitioner Surinder Sharma to appear in the interview for the post of Naib Tehsildar. This shall be on his own risk and responsibility subject to the condition that this shall not confer any right on the petitioner, the Court ordered. The Court also restrained the respondents that result of the petitioner shall not be declared without Court permission and clarified that this order shall remain subject to the outcome of CMP.
The petitioner in his petition filed through Advocate Sudershan Sharma submitted that he being Science graduate of 1994 had applied in-pursuance advertisement notice dated December 14, 2005 by virtue of which 39 posts of Naib-Tehsildar were advertised. The SSRB did not conduct the selection process for the said notified posts in response to the notifications issued in the year 2002 and 2005. Due to the inaction on the part of SSRB, petitioner and like other candidates crossed the upper-age limit for Government job and it was by virtue of notification dated January 10, 2008, SSRB notified that Board is going to conduct the written examination for the post of Naib-Tehsildars. After participating in the written examination, the respondent Board published the result. The respondent Board invited 783 candidates for appearing in the interview. The petitioner approached the board in order to know his merit position, the petitioner was shown to have secured 74 points whereas the last candidate invited for interview had secured 77 points in General category. Since the petitioner has not been called for the interview it is prayed that the respondents may be directed to allow me to appear in the interview. JNF
