Jammu, Aug 17: In the first concluded Independence Day parade function the NCC contingents participated in all the district and sub districts level function and took part in the march past and other activities held on the day.
As per press release in Kashmir division 12 contingent took part while in Jammu division 44 contingent participated, which is a sort of record created this year, which shows NCC activities have been fully received and are operational in the entire state. The number of contingents that participated in various places in the state were Leh-8, Srinagar-4, Baramulla-7, Anantnag-2, Budgam-2 Pulwama-1, Ganderbal-2, Kargil-1, Drass-1, Handwara-1, Tangdhar-1, Bandipora-1, Jammu-3, Poonch-3, Medhar-1, Rajouri-2, Seri-1, Sunderbani-3, Lamberi-1, Udhampur-7, Akhnoor-3, RS Pora-2, Bisnah-2, Ballara-2, Baderwah-4, Doda-3, Kishtwar-2, Ramban-1, Batote-1, Banihal-1, Assar-1 and Kathua-2.
Brigadier Anil Gupta, deputy director general NCC has complimented all officers, ANOs and PI staff who worked tirelessly to achieve this magnificent feat.
