The members of the J&K Accounts employees Association called on Minister for Finance, Planning, law and Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Hamid Qarra here today and apprised him of the burning demands affecting the Accounts cadre.
The memorandum of demands was presented by Jasbir Singh Charak President of the Association who was accompanied by large number of accounts personnel.
The deputationists reiterated their pending demands for removal of disparity in Pay Scales of the subordinate Accounts cadre and implementation of SRO 210. The other demands included the promotion of both Gazetted as well as Non-Gazetted staff, creation of posts in various departments, Public Sector Undertakings and Autonomous Bodies, restoration of retrospective effects granted with the implementation of SRO 160 dated 10-05-2006, Compassionate appointments under SRO 43, Promotion of Class IV employees as cashier/ Jr. Assistants, enhancement of key allowance in favour of Gov. cashiers, Construction of treasury buildings.
