| Kailash Yatra | | JPVM hails MLA Niaz’s initiative | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 18: For promoting of annual Kailash yatra in tehsil Bhaderwah and the initiative taken in this regard by the MLA, Niyaz Sharief has been welcomed by the Jammu paryatan vikas mandal (JVPM).
In a meeting of JVMP members chaired by Ravi Mahajan while expressing satisfaction over the yatra arrangements starting from Aug 19 to 21 demanded that a separate pilgrimage board on the pattern of the one constituted for Shiv Khori pilgrimage, should also be constituted for annual Kailash Yatra. The SDM Bhaderwah should be convenor of the board, while the local prominent persons who have staked in the pilgrimage and are making efforts to promote the same, should be nominated its members. The mandal further appealed to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board to help financially as well as other ways to promote and develop annual Kailash Yatra and the same should be made a regular feature, motivating people from all over the country to perform the pilgrimage, in Bhaderwah, popularly called “Chhota Kashmir”. The promotion of pilgrimage will boost pilgrim as well as tourism in Bhaderwah and boost the economy of the area.
