| Jammu’s ISBI may soon be operational | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 18 The Divisional administration today decided to make the Inter State Bus Terminal here operational and restrict idle parking of buses at the old bus stand or in its periphery.
At a meeting here under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Pawan Kotwal, the official directed the issuance of early notification for making the ISBT operational.
He said the ISBT constructed at Narwal with a capacity of about three hundred buses is complete in all respects.
The Divisional Commissioner asked the transport authorities to complete the procedural formalities and also directed the start of matador services from the bus terminal to avoid inconvenience to the commuters.
The meeting also decided to restrict idle parking of intra-state route buses at the new bus stand at Khanpur near Nagrota by-pass till it is made fully operational.
