| Panthers’ signature campaign on CU enters 5th day | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 18- Signature Campaign launched by JKNPP and led by its General Secretary Anita Thakur entered 5th day here today. Hundreds of people, mostly the students of Gandhi Nagar Women College, despite rain, signed the memorandum for the Prime Minister seeking opening of ‘Central University’ in Jammu Province. In spite of rain more than two thousand people signed memorandum supporting ‘Central University’ in Jammu and Delimitation of the Assembly Constituencies so that political justice is done to the people of Jammu Province, besides dismissal of tainted ministers officially involved in land grabbing, sex scandal and others rackets so that corruption is weeded out in the state. Anita Thakur who is leading the campaign said that nearly 15000 people who signed the memorandum, 70% were the women mostly students from Women College Gandhi Nagar, Women College Parade Jammu and of course Science College Jammu. Talking to media persons here today Anita Thakur said that signature campaign is being carried in other districts in Jammu Province by the districts units. She said that more than 10 lacs signature shall be collected. In the meanwhile Prof. Bhim Singh has congratulated Panthers Student Union (PSU) for their solidarity with the students and appealed to the students to get ready for the final assault to win the battle. The party has decided to hold signature campaign in front of Jammu University Campus on August 19.
