| SPO killed as militants ambush cops | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 18
One SPO was killed when militants believed to be from the Lashkar-e-Taiba ambushed a police patrol in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district early this morning, police said.
Police said militants opened fire on the police team in Marmat in Doda district. A special police officer (SPO), Mohammed Ashraf, was killed.
Senior Superintendent of Police (Doda) Parbhat Singh said that searches had been intensified but the rains and slippery mountainous terrain are hindering the operation
