| Two Hizb militants killed in Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 19 At least two militants of the Hizbul Mujahideen were killed by security forces in a gunbattle that started Wednesday morning and was continuing till late evening in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district.
A divisional commander of the Hizbul Mujahideen and three of his associates were involved in the exchange of bullets underway in Kishtwar’s Chatroo area, 230 km northeast of Jammu, police said. The identities of those killed was not known immediately.
“There is a possibility of the gunbattle lasting till late in the evening as the maize fields are providing a perfect cover to the militants,” said a police official.
