| Swine scare | | No morning assemblies in schools from today | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 19: The swine flu scare is though dropping down in Jammu while signs of relief were yet to be seen in Kashmir, the Government has issued an advisory to all schools asking them to hold the morning assemblies till scare was over. Meanwhile, according to State Nodal Officer (Swine Flu) of Health and Medical Education Department a helpline was been set up for pandemic preparedness of HIN (Swine Flu) in the State. All those interested to seek information related to Swine Flu (H1N1) preparedness in the State are requested to dial toll free number 1075. As per notification issued by the Director School Education that in view of apprehensions of spread of swine flu long congregations like morning assemblies shall not be held in any government or private schools till further orders. All the chief education officers are accordingly directed to inform all the principals, headmasters of all government and private schools of their concerned districts to adhere strictly to the circular instructions. As per doctors team operating to swine flu suspects in Jammu one blood sample has been sent to NICD, New Delhi today. According to them GMC hospital administration has received 28 reports and among them four suspects have been confirmed positive while 20 reports are yet to be received. While as in Srinagar doctors informed that they sent 41 blood samples to the NICD and received 27 reports in which 5 suspects are confirmed positive while reports of the rest of the suspects are still awaited, they informed. They further informed that majority of the suspects are the students or business men residing in other states. The queue of suspects is becoming large and large day by day, they maintained. In Jammu too all the suspects are those persons who are residing in those states caught by swine flue. They further informed that all the swine flu patients are responding.
