| Two Urdu Novels of Taranum Riyaz released | | | Early Times Report

Two latest Urdu Novels of reputed writer Mrs. Taranum Riyaz entitled “Baraf Ashna Parinday” and “Fareeb-e- Khitae Gul” were released today in an impressed function held here at Tagore Hall this afternoon. Organized by Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, the programme was presided over by former Vice Chancellor , Prof. Hamidi Kashmiri and Prof. Riyaz Punjabi , Vice Chancellor Kashmir University was the Chief Guest while as Prof. Ubaid-ur-Rehman Hashmi of JMI University, New Delhi and Prof. Aleemullah Hali of Bahagalpur University , Patna , Zaffar Iqbal Manhas, Secretary, Cultural Academy were in the presidium.
Prof Riyaz Punjabi in his address stated that the both novels ‘ Baraf Ashina Parinday’ and “Baraf Ashna Parinday” are beautiful pieces of contemporary Urdu literature and an outcome of serious efforts of Mrs Tarranum. He added that the untold history of Kashmir has successfully been reflected in these novels and with the help of various characters and situations the author has rightly tinted the other features of Kashmir’s socio-political and cultural paradigm .
Mrs. Taranum Riyaz , the author, presented vote of Thanks on the occasion. Among other dignitaries, Dr. Rafeeq Masoodi, Director DDK, Mr. Rafiq Raaz, Director Radio Kashmir, Mr. Aziz Qureshi, renowned theatre personality, Zeeshan Fazil, Syed Shujat Bukhari, prominent story writer Noor shah was also present on the occasion
