Early Times Report Jammu , Aug 20 In view of the spread of ‘Swine Flu’ at an alarming rate all over the world, different Units of MIER College of Education celebrated Sadbhavna Divas by organizing an awareness campaign. Under this movement, the college students distributed pamphlets in different parts of the city, indicating the symptoms, precautions and treatment of swine flu. Poonam Soni, N.S.S. Programme Officer; Mrs. Monika Bajaj, Convener Environment Education Unit and Mrs. Komal Sharma, Convener Extension Unit also participated in this compaign. Through this pamphlet it was communicated that in case we find the symptoms such as high fever, headache, tiredness, body aches, joint pain, stomach upset, vomiting, sore throat, sneezing, loss of appetite etc. we should immediately consult the doctor and follow some preventive measures like get enough sleep, drink lot of water, avoid alcoholics drinks, be physically active, keep away from infection etc.
Dr. Arun K. Gupta, Chairman MIER and Dr. Renu Gupta, Director MIER and Principal MIER College of education appreciated the efforts of the students and appealed the people “Don’t Panic, Only Be Cautious” from swine flu. The campaign concluded with the spreading of the message to the society that we should consider the environment as our first priority and try to make it healthy for living.
