| DC finalizes Ramzan arrangements | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, AUGUST 20 In wake of ensuing holy month of Ramzan, commencing from August 22, Deputy commissioner, Jammu convened a meeting of representatives of Muslim community and all concerned departments for finalizing arrangements to be made by the district administration during the holy month of Ramzan.
Superintending Engineer, PHE and PDD and Joint Commissioner JMC also participated in the meeting.
The President, Jama Masjid, Jammu highlighted the problems being faced by Muslim community during the holy month of Ramzan.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the PHE department to ensure uninterrupted water supply during the holy moth of Ramzan. He asked the officers of PDD to provide uninterrupted electricity at the time of Taravih, Iftar and Sehri.
The JMC was asked to ensure cleanliness outside all the mosques located within the jurisdiction of Jammu Municipality besides removal of garbage/filth lying outside the Jama Masjid, Railway Mosque and Rehari graveyard. The JMC was also directed to install one water tank, each, outside Jama Masjid, Talab Khatikan, Jama Masjid, Mohalla Ustad, Jama Masjid, Malik Market and Bye Pass Narwal. In addition flood lights will also be erected outside Masjid Talab Khatikan, Jama Masjid Lakhdata Bazar and Jama Masjid Mohalla Ustad.
SSP, Jammu was asked to ensure fool proof security round-the-clock for averting any untoward incident during the holy month of Ramzan.
