| Jammu Sitarist Raj Kuamr Dogra gets Pandit Bhasker Award | | | Early Times Report

National and Internationally repute Jammu Sitarist and Music therapist Raj Kumar Dogra has been bestowed with Pt Bhasker Award 2008-09. The award will be presented to him next month in a function organized in Mumbai.
According a press statement this National Award is institutionalized by Trimurti Sangeet Mandal in collaboration with Cultural Department of Government of Maharashtra and is awarded for exemplary and outstanding performance in music and allied fields.
Besides this award Raj Kumar Dogra who is Director Swaranagan Meditation, London has many awards in his credit. Hailing from Jammu, Dogra is a Gold Medalist from Jammu University and a holder of National Fellowship from International Foundation for Fine Arts Mumbai.
He has also presented his solo performances in France, Italy, Spain, England, Switzerland, Maxico etc and has participated various national and international workshops and seminars in the concerned filed. He has composed music for couple of Hindi films. In addition, he has done background score of many Telefims and Jingles and is holding the chair of Executive Member, ICC, USA since three years.
