| Awareness program on prevention of drugs held | | |

To curb the drug trafficking and bout the prevention of drugs trafficking in the area an awareness programme was organized at Khour. A rally of the students of govt. Higher secondary school Khour was organized in which more than 500 students along with staff of the Hr. Sec. School Khour, executive officer municipal committee Khour Gharu Ram and child development project officer Khour Babu Ram also participated the rally of the children passes through the whole area and made the local people aware about the effects of the use of banned drugs.
Children were carrying the different charts, boards and posters which shows the effects of the use of drugs. The station house officer Khour guided/advised the locals to bring into the notice of police if any one they found involved in the production of illicit liquor or sale and purchase of banned drugs, executive officer municipal committee, Khour advised the ward members of the committee to ensure the destructions of the opium in their wards and remain vigilant about the sale and purchase of banned drugs in the area. During the days programme labours of municipal committee Khour clear/destroyed the opium along the canal side within the municipal limit.
Other who were present in the awareness programme includes Ashok Kumar president municipal committee Khour, naib-tehsildar Khour, principal Hr. Sec. school Khour, block development officer Khour, station house officer Khour, ward members of the municipal committee Khour and others.
