| Purse snatcher identified, raids on to arrest | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, August 21
Police is on toe following by the broad day light purse snatching in Trikuta Nagar area and today succumbing pressure police has established the identity of the snatcher with in the twenty four hours of the snatching incident. Police teams were fanned out to arrest the snatcher because the woman whose purse containing Rs 18000 was snatched happens to be the relative of IG Jammu. The snatcher later withdrew Rs 12000 more from the ATM in Gangyal area. The purse of one Anuradha Gupta was snatched when she was waiting for the matador on main road. As per sources, following the incident all police men were put on toe and today police established the identity of the snatcher as Kirti Singh resident of Jeevan Nagar. The identity was established following the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the ATM. As per sources police has launched a man hut to arrest the snatcher. Police have also rounded up some suspects and their questioning is on in the police station.
