| CU issue: signature campaign launched in Kathua | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Aug 21- To mobilize public support on establishment of Central University in Jammu region, the district unit of JKNPP organized a signature campaign at Kathua under the leadership of its District president Ravinder Singh Pathania. Thousands of people, majority of them the student students participated in signature campaign
Speaking on the occasion Pathania demanded opening of Central University in Jammu as proposed earlier and maintained that any further delay would cause unrest among people here. He said district like Rajouri, Poonch, Udhampur, Doda, Kathua have all along been neglected by the Government in the matter of development for the past 60 years. He said since the students from other parts of the India even from other areas of J&K do not feel safe to go to Kashmir under the present situation it was of paramount importance to set up the CU in Jammu region at the earliest.
