| BGSBU's COET gets AICTE approval | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri Aug 22- College of Engineering and Technology of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University has added one more feather in its camp by getting national recognition and approval of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
The Engineering College was started on a fast track in 2007 keeping in view the persistent demand of parents and students. Establishment of an Engineering College by the University is significant considering that there was no institution of higher technical education in the twin border districts of Rajouri-Poonch for the last 60 years. This region has remained neglected and deprived of educational facilities for decades together.
In order to cater to aspirations of people, the University established the College of Engineering and Technology. The College presently offers B. Tech program in Computer Sciences and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Civil Engineering and Electrical and Renewable Energy Engineering.
Students, parents, citizens from all walks of life and prominent persons have appreciated the achievement of the University to gain approval of AICTE for Engineering College.
