Jammu, Aug 22: The president of the national mazdoor conference, Subash Shastri, has appealed to the chief minister, Omar Abdullah to intervene personally to re-address the genuine demands of the clerical staff and ensure that all the anomalies in the SRO-93 are removed so that all sections of the salaries class are benefited optimally from the implementation of 6th pay commission in the state.
Addressing a press conference of NMC activists here today, he said the implementation of the report has developed a good rapport between the government and the employes and urged him to consider removal of anomalies in the SRO so to satisfy all sections of the salaried class. Describing the current year as a year of working class since chief minister took historic decision such as release of 6% pending DA installment due from January this year enhancement of wages of daily wagers from Rs 70 to Rs 110 per day, implementation of 6th pay commission and several other measures, He said this year should be the year of daily wagers adding that their services should be regularized in one go.
