| Shri Ram Natak Club kick starts Ramlila Preparations | | | Early Times Report

Shri Ram Natak Club, Sainik Colony today kickstarted its Ramlila preparations for the year amid vedic mantras on the auspicious Ganesh Chaturthi at Shri Ram Mandir here. The ceremony was organized by the members of the Ramlila club under the Chjairnmanship of Krishan Kumar Sharma. A large number of residents participated in the proceedings which included Ganesh Puja, invocation of Saraswati, the goddess of education and wisdom, stage poojan and distribution of sweets.
Speaking on the occasion Krishan Kumar Sharma stressed the need for inculcation of values in the younger generation and wished for the success of the Ramlila that is going to be enacted for the second year. Thakur Jai Singh, Corporator appreciated the efforts being made by the residents of Sainik Colony in promoting true essence of religion and promoting a neighborhood without any class division and casteist overtones.
Dr. Gopal parthasarthi Sharma termed Ram Lila as the oldest tradition depicting the real value system of Indian ethos. He urged the young artists to enact the legend with full commitment and to extract the moral richness from the ideals of various characters of Ramayana.
Among others who participated in today’s proceedings include Sukhdev Singh Choudhary, Ajit Singh Choudhary, Ripu Daman Sharma, Deepak Sarin, Kalyan Singh Sambyal, Rashpal Singh Bandaral, Rajeshwar Singh Jamwal, Fateh Singh Jasrotia, Ajesh Gupta. All the artistsof the club were also present on the occasion and discussed various issues for the forthcoming enactment of Ramlila.
