JAMMU, Aug 24: Semi-finals line-up has been drawn in the senior snooker event of the ongoing 18th State Billiards and Snooker championships organised by J&K Billiards and Snooker Association at Billiards Hall, M A Stadium, here today.
With hardly any upset, top seed Kamal, second seed Vishal Abrol, Sumesh Turki and Umar Himayoon have made it into the semi-finals today.
Now, in the semi-finals, Kamal shall be playing against Vishal Abrol tomorrow at 2 pm.
Sumesh Turki, who shall meet Umar Himayoon in the semi-final game tomorrow at 11.30 am, improved his own record of highest break. He made a break of 61 points in his last league engagement today against Muddasir Nath.
Earlier, Kamal and Umar Himayoon of Srinagar won all three league matches to top their respective pools. From group-A, Sumesh Turki finished at No. two position while Vishal Abrol represented group-B.
Today’s matches were officiated by markers, Manohar Lal, Shanker Dass, Surjeet Singh and Rakesh.
Meanwhile, the Senior Billiards event shall start from August 26 at the same venue.
