| Rahul’s double strike guides Jammu Sports win | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 24: Young Rahul today guided Jammu Sports to a 2-1 victory over Churchill Brothers in the super league round of ongoing Senior Division Football Tournament organised by Jammu wing of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College ground, here.
Earlier, Rahul helped his side to take 1-0 lead in the first half netting the ball in the 28th minute. He later improved the score striking in the 50th minute.
However, Churchill Brothers reduced the margin when Dany Burat struck in the 52nd minute of the match.
Two yellow cards were shown to Amit Sotra of Churchill Brothers and Davian of Jammu Sports for foul play by the centre referee.
Today’s match was officiated by R K Singh, Rakesh, P K Das and Harbans Lal.
