| Safai Karamcharies discuss pending demands | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 25- In a meeting held under chairmanship of Dev Anand Gill, the Civic Safia Karamcharis Union today discussed the charter of demands lying pending with the administration and sought its early resolution.
The meeting decided unanimously to submit a Memorandum to the Chairman Public Health and Sanitation Jammu Municipal Corporation for conceding the long pending demands of the Safaikaramcharies.
The union demanded release of pending arrears of the 125 Safari Karamcharies/Mashki who have been regularized in May 2005 and 169 others who were regularized on August 2008. They also demanded abolishing of existing system of appointment on contractual basis.
