| KP’s demand enhancement in cash relief | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 25- United Kashmir Welfare Society (UKWS) and United Kashmiriyat Forum in a joint meeting held at Udhampur today demanded enhancement of cash relief up to Rs.10, 000 per family per month.
The meeting chaired by Dr B K Koul was attended by all like minded people particularly the Kashmiri Migrants. The meeting expressed concern over the sufferings of Kashmiri Pandits who are living in exile since twenty years.
While addressing the meeting Ashwani Bhat supported the agitation launched by KPWM Jammu for rehabilitation and employment package for Kashmiri Pandits. He also demanded enhancement of relief up to rupees 10,000 per month.
The chairman of Kashmir United Forum Bharat Raina also supported the agitation and requested migrants to stand united at this juncture for the welfare of community. All the members present in the meeting unanimously passed a resolution extending full support to KPMW Jammu and appealed Chief Minister Omar Abdulla to intervene personally and consider the request of migrants on priority basis and fulfill the announcement made by Finance Minister for providing 15,000 jobs to Kashmiris Pandits.
Dr. B.Koul, Ashwani Bhat, Bharat Raina, Prof. Rattan Lal, Manoj Sharma, Pritivai Nath, Ashok Koul, Sunil Koul, Rakesh Koul, Pran Nath, Rattaan Lal Dhar. Pandit Radha Krishan and Phoola were among others who took part in the meeting.
