| 7 CRPF troopers injured in grenade attack | | |

Srinagar Aug 25: Seven paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) troopers were injured when militants attacked a local hotel used as a camp in the posh tourist hub of Dalgate in Srinagar late on Monday evening, police said.
A senior police officer said the unidentified militants tossed a powerful hand grenade which fell and exploded inside the hotel complex, housing the headquarters of CRPF's 162nd battalion. "Seven CRPF troopers were injured in this explosion," the officer said, adding they were taken to hospital for treatment. Doctors at the SKIMS Soura described the condition of two troopers as serious, police added.
Security forces have launched a search in the area around the hotel building. No militant outfit till now has yet claimed responsibility for this grenade attack.
