| Selection of 63 constables in IRP challenged | | Reserve 17 posts in reserved quota, HC to respondents | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 26- The Jammu and Kashmir High Court today directed the respondents to keep 17 posts of constables reserved in IRP out of the reserved quota till next of hearing. This direction was passed by Justice Imtiyaz Hussain while disposing off 17 petitions challenging selection of 63 candidates in IRP on certain grounds. The petitioners claimed that they were BA with Diploma in computer, 10+2 with Diploma in computer and some of them matriculates and physically fit and belonged to OBC, ALC, RBA and other categories. Justice Hussain, after hearing Advocate Surinder Kour appearing for the petitioners issued notice which was accepted by Additional Advocate General SC Gupta on behalf of the official respondents, with the direction to file objections by the respondents within one week and meanwhile respondent shall proceed with the selection process but they shall keep17 posts reserved out of the reserved quota till next date of hearing.
